The most famous site in Virgin Gorda, one which draws day trippers from St Thomas (even the residents), is The Baths. Dating from dinosaur times when the world's volcanic action was at its peak, and placed into its present configuration some 50 million years later by a big earthquake, these large, precariously balanced granite boulders form a labyrinth of water-filled grottoes. Perfect for a day of snorkeling, exploring or just paddling around in the grottoes (a totally different beach experience).
