Biography

Freddie Rabuse was born February 19, 1955, in New York City. Freddie grew up in New York, playing music professionally since he was thirteen. Freddie has played in many nightclubs, piano bars and restaurants, including the world renown Tavern on the Green. Freddie has played in show bands, such as Ernest Wright's "Imperial", (formerly of  "Little Anthony and the Imperials"), the cabaret trio, "Island Swing", and with Dick Solberg's Sun Mountain Band on his mid-western tour.

 

Since 1985, Freddie has been working in the Virgin Islands during season. He performs at  corporate events on private yachts and weekly gigs. Freddie has an range of musical styles and he enjoys taking requests.

During the summer, Freddie performs in international hot spots such as Martha's Vineyard, Oslo, St. Tropez, Ibiza and Kyoto.

Freddie's commercial credits include playing the background music for the Atlantis Submarine's Underwater Video, Beck's Bier, and Cruzan Rum t.v. commercials. Freddie has performed in shows with Dave Mason, and backing up Bowser (from the 50's show, "Sha Na Na"). He was the musical director of the island's production of the hit musical, "Aint Misbehavin".    

Freddie has kept his musical rhythm balanced by keeping fit in mind and body. He participates in trading stock index futures online and is a certified scuba diver. Freddie played college basketball for Columbia University, and presently plays tennis in tournaments on the islands and USTA events.
