OTHER STUFF IN THIS EDITION OF SINBAD'S FUNKY STUFF NEWS:

I.  CATCH SINBAD ON THE TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW!
=============================================
Sinbad will be making a guest appearance on the Tom Joyner Morning Show this morning, May 6.  People outside the TJMS listening area may catch the show live on the Internet.
Just click here!

II.  SINBAD'S FAMILEE OFFLINE PARTY RSVP
==================================
The RSVP form is online for Sinbad's Friday Night Familee Offline Party in St. Thomas.  The form is
available at Just click here!.  You may RSVP for more than one person by adding extra names in the comments field.

The date for Sinbad's Familee Offline Party has been moved to Friday night, May 28, 1999.  We're taking over one of the night clubs for this event! The location will be announced via email to the people who RSVP right away!  Your Familee t-shirt will be required to enter.  T-shirts should have your screen name boldly showing so the cameras can pick it up.  Many people are making more than one shirt so they can wear them throughout the week.  No rules on the t-shirts except that use of Soul Music Festival logos and graphics from this Web site is prohibited.  The person wearing the funkiest Familee T-Shirt to Sinbad's Familee Offline Party on Friday night will be invited by Sinbad to introduce one of the bands at Saturday night's concert ... ON CAMERA!  Sinbad will be the sole judge ... and his decision is final ... after all ... it's his party!  HAHAhaha  Remember Familee ... Creativity Counts!  ;-)

III.  TRAVEL AVAILABILITY OPENS UP
===========================
After many rumors about sell outs, Sinbad confirmed, "Yes, many properties and flights are full, but just the week, several properties opened up space that had been previously been blocked by tour operators.  Last week, for our people in need of a CaliCharter, American Airlines made a limited number of discounted seats available from LAX to Dallas to hook up with the Dallas to St. Thomas charters.  Island Flight | Sunburst Vacations had some special packages open up at Marriott Frenchman's Reef starting around $1900, including round trip airfare from LAX."

This week, both Island Flight & Sunburst Vacations and Alken Tours have packages at several properties.  A special package is available at the Westin in St. John available through Island Flight & Sunburst.  Also, both of these tour operators are now prepared to handle land only and air only reservations.  Don't rule St. John out ... it's a great island and easily accessible to St. Thomas via a short ferry ride. Even Sinbad is staying in St. John part of the time.

V. ROOMMATE BOARD IS OPEN TO HELP
================================
Don't forget ... the RoomMate Board is OPEN!
Check it out!!

Small properties have begun to post their room availabilities ... and Sinbad has decided to let them continue to do so ... on the RoomMate Board ONLY ... property postings will be deleted from the ShoutOut Board.  But remember Familee ... unless the property appears on the Travel page in the Web site ... We don't know them!  SOOoooooo ... CHECK THEM OUT BEFORE YOU SEND ANY MONEY! And to the properties ... the No Phone Numbers rule still applies on the RoomMate Board! This prevents typos and other businesses from being disturbed.  All initial contact must be done via email for details and phone numbers.

VI.  HOTMAIL.COM PROBLEMS:
========================
As a result of -hundreds- of rejections from HOTMAIL.COM email servers since the last issue of Sinbad's Funky Stuff News on April 23, 1999, most of the HOTMAIL.COM email addresses in our database have been purged.  We have received hundreds of "Undeliverable" responses over an extended period from HOTMAIL.COM ... and this includes email  addresses for several of the vets out there that we believe to be good email addys.  If your friends have HOTMAIL.COM addresses and they do not receive this email notice by the time they reach their work in the morning (May 6), please advise them to setup an alternate email address
and resubmit the Familee Register Form.

VII.  OUR APOLOGIES:
=================

WE STRONGLY SUPPORT RESPONSIBLE EMAILING AND DO NOT WISH TO SPAM ANYONE WHO DOES NOT WISH TO RECEIVE OUR MAILINGS. Because of the flood from HOTMAIL.COM, we had a problem with the database. We maintain 68 lists for Sinbad's Soul Music Festival ... 18 of them were corrupted.  We have rebuilt the database from the April 23 issue of Sinbad's Funky Stuff News and have added all the names from Familee Registration Forms submitted through 1am this morning, May 6.

It is possible, however, that a few of you who requested to be removed from our list within the last 15 days may inadvertently be back on the list.  We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you once again please reply with the word REMOVE in the SUBJECT LINE of your message.  Thank you for your understanding.

Peace,

WebDweeb  ;-)
