Annual Bastille Day Kingfish Tournament

Mark the date now. The one-day fishing tournament that usually attracts more participants than any other in the Virgin islands - The Annual Bastille Day Kingfish Tournament - will be held on Sunday, July 12 at Larry’s Hull bay Hideaway (St. Thomas).

Organized by the Northside Sportfishing Club, the event was first help in 1987. The Tournament’s primary sponsors are Coors Light and Snapple (distributed by Bellows International), with additional support provided by Offshore Marine Services (distributor of Yamaha), which donates an outboard engine to the best captain.

The Bastille Day Tournament offers a fun-packed day for the entire community: the fishing is followed by food, drink, entertainment and, that evening, the awarding of literally hundreds of prizes to dozens of lucky anglers. There are trophies for men, women and junior anglers, cash for the top five anglers, a 40 horsepower Yamaha outboard engine, travel getaways, and lots more.

As many as 400 anglers and 100 boats are expected. More details will follow about registration, prizes, the day’s schedule and entertainment.
