- Octoberfest in Emmancipation Garden draws crowd of 400 to enjoy
music, games, & foods.
- Squatters in St. Croix Estate Body Slob were evicted and the dwellings
were cleared by Bulldozers brought in by the Agriculture Department.
Deputy Agriculture Commissioner Lawrence Lewis, said all residents were
allowed time to remove belongings. "Most of them got vouchers for rent and
were very happy," Lewis said.
- Texas society announces a cookoff date.
- Main Street pedestrian mall opens on 10/31/95. Main Street will be
closed to traffic.
